Sarah joined Cowen Schwarz Marschke (formerly Tucker & Cowen) in February 2021, having previously worked as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Berna Collier at the Federal Court of Australia in Brisbane. She has also previously worked as a research clerk to a barrister at the Queensland Bar.
Sarah graduated from the University of Queensland in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). She was admitted to the legal profession in September 2020 and has a keen interest in commercial litigation, with a particular interest in insolvency.
Mackenzie graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2020 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and was admitted to the legal profession in June 2021.
During the course of her studies and since her admission to the legal practice (prior to her employment with CSM Lawyers), Mackenzie worked for boutique commercial litigation and insolvency firms in Brisbane and has experience acting in a wide range of disputes. Mackenzie has assisted in commercial litigation in various forums, including Queensland State Courts, other State Courts and the Federal Court of Australia. She has acted for a range of clients including individuals, directors, corporations and insolvency practitioners.
Alfred joined Cowen Schwarz Marschke Lawyers in June 2023.
Alfred graduated from Griffith University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Major), and he was admitted to the legal profession in February 2021.
Prior to joining Cowen Schwarz Marschke, Alfred worked in a national firm with a focus on corporations, tax and trusts but has a keen interest in commercial litigation broadly as well as insolvency.
In addition to his litigation experience, Alfred has experience as a transactional lawyer and is familiar with a host of commercial transactions including share sales, business sales, and financing arrangements (both secured and unsecured).
Gabrielle graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2020 with a Juris Doctor and was admitted to the legal profession in May 2021. Prior to her admission as a solicitor, Gabrielle completed her bachelor’s degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and has years of experience in the commercial sector in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Cowen Schwarz Marschke, Gabrielle worked in a boutique law firm in Sydney which specialises in litigation and commercial transactions. Gabrielle has a broad range of experience in dealing with disputes and commercial transactions. She has a keen interest in commercial litigation and insolvency.
Gabrielle is trilingual and speaks Cantonese and Mandarin
